IT’S OUR PLANET: A CONCERT FOR YOUTH

Young artists, entertainers and leaders, all champions of the environmental movements, will tell their stories of climate change in a concert of music and images designed to inspire and motivate young audiences in Glasgow. NASA will collaborate with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Orchestra and internationally recognized Conductor Emil De Cou who has worked on over 10 multimedia musical collaborations with the space agency including, most recently, the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts’ celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Moon landing featuring the National Symphony. The Power of Music, combined with film and video images from NASA, and the stories of climate change document the last 20 years of change on Planet Earth. Natural and human activities have left their mark on Earth visible from space. Witness those changes through footage captured in space by the incredible technology and artistry of NASA’s film and video images. Views of volcanoes fuming, hurricanes flooding, and wildfires sweeping across the landscape bring today’s challenges to young audiences in Glasgow and broadcast globally.
